My name in Manuela,I was born in Lastra a Signa,near Florence and, being a good Tuscan, passionate of art in all its forms. I attend art school
and the faculty of architecture in Florence.
Art has always been my life: I like the painting,the sculptur,the architecture,
the design and this last thing that pushed me, after the studies, to start designing necklaces, belts, hats, bags and finally shoes. After, making
the most of the experience gained, I specialize in creating shoes and to be able to refine my techical preparation in the field,I attend the
school of modeling and style. After some years of experience in the footwear sector, I decided to work alongside the teaching activity, opening my
Manuela Mari’s design school.
In all my creations, I try to bring the beauty of my territory, my beloved Tuscany with its ancient villages, its squares and its churches, with
its characteristic landscapes and wonderful museums, magical space and ancient culture.
Starting and basis for projecting into the future and experimenting with new ones.
To the feelings of my soul, I have combined a long study and a long apprenticeship to know every single technical aspect of shoe.
Today, I have my studio in Tuscany and I send it forward with great entusiasm together with a group of collaborators and shoe factories, heel
factories, tanneries, sole factories etc..
In my shoes, I always try to put my feelings more real and my dreams, with the concreteness that distinguishes me.
